Family

Yesterday was the first Saturday in a very long time that our family wasn't being pulled in a hundred different directions. We made it a goal to be together...all together, as a family, the entire day. It was pure bliss. We ate breakfast together, worked together, taught Tyler to ride a two wheeler together, watched/played basketball games together, ate dinner together, and played together.

We had to say "no" to a few things, but it was well worth it.

Because we are oh so busy these days, we sometimes forget how truly important that togetherness is. The family unit is a gift. It is sacred. I feel so blessed to have the one that I do. We love each other so much. We look forward to many more of these special days.

I can not even tell you how much I understand how you feel with being pulled all in a thousand different directions all the time. Where all the activities are great things. Sometimes all the great activities take away from our precious family time. It is so hard to have that. It is so sacred and so important to have. I am so glad that you got to enjoy your day together as a family. I hope you get many more days like that!

I am so glad you got a together day. They are so important, Scott and I are always cooking up ways that we can sneak our family under the radar for a day or two. Spring break is just around the corner!
