A Good, Good Day

Today was a busy, fun-filled, kid-filled, Spring Break day. We were lucky enough to tag along with some good friends, and do some fun things. Meanwhile, I was able to schedule plans for the night, weekends, football season, etc., etc. along the way. As we drove home I looked back and saw the faces of four, absolutely exhausted, kids.

It made me happy. Happy I could spend the time with them. Happy they were totally wiped out (It's kind of hard to totally wipe four boys out...believe me). Happy to be a mom...even though it's hard. Happy to have a hubby willing to pay for it. Happy that they now have the memory of today.

The ones that could, told me, "Thanks for the day, I love you mom." And, I know Dane was thinking it because he got to eat two packs of McDonalds fries and ketchup.

It was a good day.
