Lazy Summer

It has been a lazy summer at our house. How wonderful is that? The boys have enjoyed diving, swimming, extra time with friends, ice cream, the beach, Disneyland, the cabin, random trips to get an Icee, trips to the dollar store for treasures, UNO, the library, hundreds of Otter Pops, no schedule, sleeping in, and summer reading.

This morning I asked Cody what his favorite day of the summer has been. He said, "I like the days when we don't have any plans."

"Me too", I answered.

We are looking forward to escaping one more time to the mountains in Greer very soon. The older my kids get, the more I look forward to spending this special time with them. They seem to grow so fast.

I love the lazy summer days too. The only problem is it goes WAY to fast! You are right on they grow up way too fast too.
Blake had a doctor's apt today and afterwards I said, "I have some errands to run. Do you want me to take you home or do you want to go with me? He said, "I'll go. I'd like to hang with you." I'm so thankful for these little moments together but at the end of our great time together today I thought~he's nearly an adult. I mean we have adult conversations, we talk about his high school life, his friends, when he leaves on a mission-where he might go ect.
When does this all happen? One day their so old and big. Anway we need to enjoy every minute with them~!

Take Care,
JoLynn

I can't agree more. I always dread the days when we have to get up get ready and get out of the house. I love lazy no plans days.
