Those of you who know me, know that I have
extremely high expectations where education is concerned. I expect only the best teachers for my children beginning in preschool. I expect my children to excel in every subject. Putting all of that aside, I LOVE all of the fun "stuff" that comes along with elementary school! I love the holiday parties, I love the library, and I love the field trips. While some have pushed these activities aside as "unimportant or a "waste of time", I know that they are a vital part of a child's educational experience. With all of the pressures that we put on our kids these days, school should still be fun. Needless to say, I had just as much fun as the kids attending their Christmas activities!
It was an eventful week for Tyler. His preschool had a big party where they made crafts and goodies. The REAL Santa Claus came. He even had a REAL belly. Tyler was quick to notice this.

Last night Tyler performed with his school at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center. I was very proud of him as he got up onto a stage with 100 other children. Tyler is VERY shy, so this is a daunting task for him. However, he did a fabulous job! Tyler was happy that grandpa and grandma Wilson came. Grandma Wilson bought him a flower. It was nice for Tyler to have some special attention tonight!
