Meet at school. Meet 7 assigned 2nd graders (We were the red group...RED ROCKS!). Ride on bumpy, LOUD bus for 1 hour. Let 3 litte girls hold my hand, play with my hair, and hug me for the entire time (I am not used to little girls). Eat lunch on the beautiful Phoenix College campus with kids. Duck, duck, goose. Red light, green light. Simon says. SO thankful Amber came too!!! Finally, sit for the show. Enjoy an excellent show. It really was good...kids loved it. Ride on bumpy, LOUD bus for 1 more hour. Let 3 little girls hold my hand, play with my hair, and hug me. Arrive back at school. Best part, got to spend a fabulous day with my son and his friends. It will take a month to recover. When's the next one?

Mr. Slim Goodbody
If you used to watch P.B.S. in the early 80's, then you may remember Mr. Slim Goodbody. He is the man in a unitard (yes, it's true) with all of the important internal body parts painted on it. Mr. Slim Goodbody sings songs about the different functions of the body, and how to stay healthy. The second grade has been learning about the respitory system, digestive system, etc. in science for the last few months, and were lucky enough to go to Phoenix College to see Mr. Slim Goodbody live! I went as a chaperone. Here is a briefing on the day...

I really do enjoy getting to go with the kids on their field trips but I have to say that when I go on a field trip I'm absolutely exhausted! It really does take me a few days to recoup but I do love getting to go and be with my kids.
I remember Mr. Slim Goodbody. That is funny! I'm glad it was a good show and stuff and I'm glad that you had a friend on the field trip too. That seems to help a great deal, as far as I'm concerned! As for the girls holding your hand playing with your hair and all that stuff, man your a trouper!
Are you going on Thursday? I hope so!
Talk to ya later!

Definitly was a field trip to remember. Glad we went together too. It would have killed me by myself. Send me the pics. The boys pictures turned out great!!
just meeting the group there was plenty enough for me! :) but we only saw about 10 minutes of the show... Macy kept crying 'mom, that man's freaking me out' so we had to leave. i still earned brownie points for showing up. sally was happy.
