Anticipation

Teacher letters are opened, school supplies are purchased, backpacks and lunch boxes are ready to go. We've picked out new shoes and clothes, underwear and socks. With the exception of pictures and blessings, we are ready.

It is a mixture of meloncholy and excitement, sadness and anticipation. Summer has been nothing short of great. This morning, as I woke up to the sound of the boys quietly playing Legos downstairs, I was a little sad. I will miss those sounds in the morning. They will be replaced with hurry and haste to get out the door.

So, today we'll stretch out what we have left. We're off to get hamburgers, fun summer classes, and a stop at Bounce-U. The clock is ticking.

Man you are on the ball!!! I'm glad that your all ready to go back. I've been frantically running around this week trying to finish up things. When do your kids start back? Mine start back the 10th. I'm very nervous for my Blake to go to high school. He's not though. He seems excited and ready. I will miss the kids home. I love and enjoy them home. However, when school is in it does put us into a routine I suppose. Well enjoy the time you've got left!
