Finally!

Dane learned to do two VERY important things this week. When most babies get to about 6 months, they start to smell and want food. They pick things up off of the ground and put them into their mouths. They beg for food at the dinner table. I think that Preston was eating steak at 6 months. Not our Dane. Just shy of a year old, we have been trying and trying to get him to even take a bite of baby food, or a nibble of ice cream to no avail. Just as we started to get worried, there was progress!! While dining at our favorite family stop, Sweet Tomatoes, we looked over and Dane was eating!! He ate and he ate. We were with friends, but I think that Warren stared at Dane for a full hour, watching him enjoy that food. Dane now loves to sit in his little chair and look out the back window as he eats his bananas and granola in the morning.

Dane also started walking. He is early on this one. In fact, he looks kind of funny because he is still looks so babyish while he cruises around. Dane is so happy with his new freedom, and roams the house all day long exploring. If we are at the park or anywhere there are groups of women, he will walk by, turn his little head toward them, and smile. What a flirt!

Oh, and some ask why we sometimes call our little goblin "Frank". When you have babies that are practically bald at their first birthday (all of ours), we think that they look like little old men. Somehow "Frank" just became Dane's nickname along the way.

He is such a little doll! I'm so proud of him and his big accomplishments. And all of our babies were bald forever also. So cute!
