Today...
I almost ran 4 miles, but had to cut it to 2 (not enough time).
I almost got Tyler to wear matching clothes.
I almost got to my Visiting Teaching appointments on time.
I almost finished folding 5 loads of laundry.
I almost got the breakfast dishes cleaned up by lunch, or whas it dinner time?
I almost started writing my next Gospel Doctrine lesson.
I almost finished updating Cub Scout books and homework charts.
I almost finished bbqing the hamburgers before I had to take them off of the grill, refrigerate them, and let Warren finish them as we high fived during our last transition of coming and going for the day.
I almost got the kids to bed on time, but gave in to "another five minutes" like I always do on Wed. nights.
I sat here thinking of all that I almost did today. Just as I started feeling a little bit down, I remembered my short "completed" list.
I completed kissing each of my children, and telling each of them that I love them at least once today. I completed the needed prayers for the day. I completed two fabulous conversations with some spectacular women. I completed nightly scriptures without a husband to help rally the troops.
And I think I might have even taken a shower today.
It was a good day.

A very good day, indeed. I think "almost" is the life of a mother. You're wise to remember all that we do each day.
