Here is how our day went yesterday...
1. Preston accidentally threw his teacher's lunch into the freezer instead of the fridge. Frozen solid. When Miss Merrill finally found it, her frozen zucchini flew out and hit Mrs. Ellsworth right in the eye. Seriously. Keep in mind that Preston just won the "Responsibility" award for the 1st grade.
2. Warren, while sitting at a red light, watched as a big F150 pickup truck roled several times towards him and then stopped in the lane just next to him. I told Warren that this would not be a good time for him to die. He agreed.
3. Cody broke his forearm during football practice. The good news is that they now have casts that are completely waterproof. Cody chose GREEN in honor of The Special Forces Mighty Might football team. Dr. Tani even said that Cody could play tackle football in just another week with his cast on. He won't play until spring football camps, but that piece of information sure made our 9-year-old happy.
Sigh...I am sure glad that yesterday is over.

Wow I guess I can say one thing for the Coate house there is never a boring day:)
Well I'm sure glad that that day came to an end, and I'm sure you are too.
A very similar experience happened to me my kids that happended to Warren a few years ago. It was so scary. This car was coming head on into my lane and we were all stopped at a stop light. It all happened so fast yet in slow motion. I didn't know what to do I couldn't move so I just sat there and said, hold on he's coming for us. And then, it was like someone picked his car up at the last moment and he missed us by inches and his the median. We didn't have a scratch on our car or nothing and this whole crash happened just inches from us. It was so wild. I for sure that day had it reconfirmed to me that me and my family were being watched over. I'm glad that Warren is o.k.!

How scary! I am so glad Warren is safe and I am sorry to hear about Cody's arm. I hope it heals quickly. Frozen lunch....very funny.
yikes girl!
I am glad you put the worst part of your day in the middle! I sure hope today was better!
I was just checking in on the Coates to make sure there were no more horror story days posted. I sure hope everyone is doing well at your house and safe. I hope Cody's arm is doing o.k. and that he's feeling o.k.

1. Preston's lunch - hilarious. And Mrs. Ellsworth of all people!
2. Gosh, that's scary. So glad Warren is ok. Definitely not a good time to die!
3. Broken arm. :(
Great post!
Holy cow! I've missed a lot. That is so scary about Warren. Yikes. And I love how far they've come with casts. Hope my kids never need one though.
