Snow Day

For all of my Utah/Alaska/Idaho/Other Cold Places friends and family, I wanted to share with you how we enjoy snow at the end of December down here in the "Valley of the Sun". While less than a couple of hours away there is enough snow to ski and snowboard, in Gilbert we reached a high of 72 degrees today. Each year the third grade teachers have tons of snow made and dumped in the playground for our kids to earn and enjoy. After playing for a couple of hours, they had lunch, some snowman building contests, and then played some more. It was a good, good day in the 3rd grade!

Cody and some of his buddies...Derek, Conner, and Dylan.

Cody and Mrs. Roberts. She is a gem!

Those are some great teachers that are willing to go to that kind of effort for the kids. Now we just need to figure out how to create 72 degree weather for a day on our playground :D

That is so much fun! That's how I like to play in the snow! That is way fun!

Oh and Monica, I'm not sure if you were joking or not about whether or not I liked Fave buy to answer your question-I'm a huge Packers fan. I used to love and adore Farve when he was a Packer. My brother in law, Brent (Brian's brother) he is a HUGE Vikings fan. For years and years we have trash talked with each over our teams. Brent has always totally ripped on Farve. He honestly, couldn't say a nice thing about he guy at all and then Farve became a Viking (which in my book would be like a Sun Devil becoming a U of A fan) and now Brent acts like the sun rises and shines in the guy. It makes me want to barf! I think Farve is a huge trader to go play for one of HIS biggest rivals of all time! I mean that is just wrong. I wouldn't go play for Mtn. View after being a Jackrabbit. SO now I'm not a Farve fan at all!!! In fact the name really is a BAD "F" word in our house!
