T.J.

Meet T.J., the newest member of our family. He is a Mojave Desert Tortoise hatchling, born in September. He loves Romaine lettuce, hiding in his cave, and basking in the sun. We have had such a great time learning about him, and setting up his habitat. Thanks Darwin and Terri Hall for this little gift!!!

Interesting Desert Tortoise facts-

1. They can live to be 80-100 years old.
2. They live on a diet of mostly leafy green vegitables and a little fruit.
3. You can not determine the sex of a tortoise until he/she is about 8 years old.
4. Once they are big enough, they can live happily in your back yard.
5. They are a very easy pet to take care of.

Our MALE Doggies!

Many of you already know them, but for those of you who don't, meet Rocky and Buddy Coates. They are brothers and have been part of our family for over 10 years. That's right, they were our first two children and have survived the births of 4 brothers. Shitzus have the intelligence level of a 3 or 4 year old child. They are smart, easy to train, and can understand much of what you say. Rocky and Buddy are excellent dogs, and have brought us years of love and enjoyment. We have taken them to the same dog groomer since they were puppies. Unfortunately, the place keep raising their prices on us. Today Warren told the groomer that we should at least get bows on their collars or something. This is what we got. I know the groomer was trying to make us feel better, but ummm, I am pretty sure Warren is not going to like the bows!
Buddy can't even face the camera! Really, he wouldn't let me take his picture. He is totally ticked.
Rocky is patiently waiting for a treat I am holding in front of him. Right after he eats it, he'll go back to trying to get those bows off of his ears.

Three New Members Of Our Family!

Meet the three newest members of our family (from left to right), "Shaq Attack" (Pristella Tetra), "Stoudemire" (Painted Platy), and "Nash" (Male Guppy). Excuse my blurry picture, but it is quite difficult to get three little fish all in the same shot. The boys earned enough money to buy a 2 gallon aquarium, fish, and supplies. We spent the morning picking everything out. It was really fun learning about all of the little fish. The boys are mostly looking forward to having the bubbly aquarium on their dresser, with the light on at night. Good times!
