Today I am 36! Another year wiser!!! With each year, and with each child, I feel like I learn so much. I feel so happy to be alive. Happy to be blessed with such a fantastic husband. Grateful for 4 happy, healthy boys. Here are 3 things that I learned during my 35th year...
1. Never, ever judge a person based on someone else's opinion. I learned this lesson early this year. I realized that I was missing out on some great people in life. Since I have changed my ways, my world is so much brighter, fuller. I have become friends with people that I wouldn't have otherwise. These people have made my life so much richer. I am extremely careful to accept and love people for who they are.
2. Surround yourself with positive people, and be that same kind of person to other people. In this day and age this task can be daunting. The truth is, there aren't many positive people left out there. However, I have searched high and low and have found some keepers! Our family enjoys some of the most fabulous friends. You know who you are! Thank you for making our family better and more fun. Thank you for laughing with us.
3. Be who you are. I learned to never appologize for who I am. Yes, I am LDS. Yes, I am organized. Yes, I have a type A personality. I like things done early, I like things done well, and I want to have fun along the way. If I try to please everybody then, usually, nobody ends up happy. Thanks to all of you who love me for what I am and for what I am not. Watch out 36!

Happy Birthday! I just love you! I'm happy for you in my life! We've learned a lot of the same lessons lately! & I too have a lot of the same personality traits, but my type A is getting harder and harder to feed. I guess your secret may be to do things early. I shall attempt. You're a great friend and a great example to me and all those around you!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! I want you to know that yesterday when I was at work (I work a couple of days a week) I wrote the date down and I thought to myself hmmm I think today is Monica's birthday. I got busy with life and forgot to post you a Happy Birthday comment. Anyway, I hope your day was great. You deserve nothing but the very best!
You have always been a good friend and a great example to me. I have always looked at you as a positive happy person and a very on the ball together gal. I appreciate your friendship over the years and I'm so glad that we have gotten to reconnect through the blogging world! It's so fun to keep in touch with you and see your darling little boys!
Hope you enjoy your day because ya know at our house we celebrate a persons birthday for like a week. So just pretend it's still your birthday and have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Monica! I am so glad I called you to get your address and found your blog! You look beautiful, as always. I love your hair. And your kids are DARLING! Good job! I love this post. And I love you, even though we never see each other and never hear from each other. Hopefully now that we know about each others blog that will change. Your name is on my calendar every year and I never pass by the 18th of December without thinking about my amazing friend from college. Merry Christmas!
