A First For Cody

I love firsts! Firsts are exciting. Firsts are not forgotten. Firsts give you that tingly feeling in your stomach. Tonight was Cody's first piano recital. All of the kids did such a fabulous job. Cody has always expressed a desire to play the piano, but we wouldn't let him begin lessons until he turned 8. It has proven to be an excellent investment. Cody practices everyday, and is learning so much. He performed "Jingle Bells" and "Away in a Manger".

I love, love the Christmas piano recital. Such a wonderful tradition for our family. Especially when they get to the point where it sounds like a real song that we know. :)

That is so awesome! I love "first" also. So fun! I'm sure Cody did a super job. I wish my Brilynn loved to practice and play like Cody. She has done better since she asked me when she could quit and I told her when I can choose any hymn from the hymn book and you can play it like Sis. Hanks (that's Brilynn's piano teacher). Since then she hasn't asked again and she hasn't complained to much. I guess she has just accepted that she has to do it so thats that!
Your kids are very cute kids.
