Yesterday we ate a free lunch! I'm all about free stuff. Did you see the article online or in the paper about a free lunch at Joe's Real BBQ in Gilbert? No, my budget isn't THAT tight. I went in honor of good, old native food. That's native Arizona food. My family has been going to Joe's for years. He has catered many a party for us. The line was long. It was hot. However, it went fast, and what more could you ask for than a free lunch with good friends??

We told Tyler and Amelia to go play in the dirt while we stood in the long, sunny line.

Joe's in 1998.
Why is this picture in black and white? There were color pictures in 1998??

If you've been around these here parts for a while you will recognize a few more...Good old Ned's.

Pete's.

Mesa Frozen Yogurt. I'm totally trying to talk them into a "Gilbert Frozen Yogurt".
If you're not from around these parts, get in your car right now and drive. You must eat at my old stomps. Good times! Maybe I should get one of those "Native" license plates.

Monica-I LOVE IT! Maybe I love it because it's a "Blast From My Past" too! We actually eat quite often at Joe's and at least once a month after Blake's basketball we have to stop and get Ned's and Frozen Yogart. Don't forget Pete's, my goodness who could live without Pete's onion rings?! Thanks for the memories!

Joe's is one of our faves, I was just scared of a too long line. Good job braving it!
You can't go wrong with Joe's or Ned's, I LOVE them both! Jon's a huge Mesa FROYO fan.
"I was Fed by NED" I go there a couple times a month!!! I got my jug, and everyone always asks who the heck is NED..... your a nobody if you don't know Ned.
We should mention that the dirt we told Amelia and Tyler to play in was in the shade. We weren't banishing them. We had a great time! Next year, right?!
