Books

I am reading To Kill A Mockingbird again. It must be my 7th or 8th run. I believe it to be one of the best books in American literature. If you haven't read it, you simply must. I have an extra copy to lend out. It is a story told from the perspective of, Scout, a young girl growing up in the South during an extremely tumultuous time. She is full of wisdom at the roots of human behavior regarding kindness and cruelty, love and hatred, likenesses and differences.

One of the strongest sections of this novel is at the very end. Without giving too much away, Scout gives some of her wisdom regarding the judgement of others. She says, "Atticus (her father) was right. One time he said you never really know a man until you stand in his shoes and walk around in them. Just standing on the Radley porch was enough."

It makes me cry every time I read it. This is such a beautifully written book, an easy read, and one that I promise you will love too.

Other books by the side of my bed right now are,
I don't have alot of reading time lately, but I try to study a little bit each day to keep my brain turned on!

Vaughn read To kill a mocking bird this last year in school and loved it. Vaughn is not a reader at all, so for him to like it, shows how much this book has touched people.
