I was lucky enough to run into two gals with whom I went to high school this week. One was Tabitha at Sam's Club. The other, Misty, found my blog via our mothers. What great memories came flooding back to me as I sat in Sam's Club remembering my senior year with Tabi. And cute Misty and our dancing days...what memories (Remember when we used to to sing along with "We Built This City on Rock and Roll" over and over again with our very big hair?). Whether it be T.J. Hagen at Harkin's, Corey Gilchrist at Walmart, Paul Macias at Costco, or Erin Hatch at Cold Stone, we always hug and have an immediate positive connection. What great people I grew up with indeed.
I haven't thought about those days for a while, but I am so glad to have had such a fabulous high school experience. Hopefully my kids will have the same. There is something to be said for good friends and staying in one place for more than two years.
So, here's a shout out (I feel very Sarah Palinish today) to all of you fellow Jackrabbits! Yes, I was a pure traitor and turned in my bunny tail to teach at the treacherous Mountain View for a few years (It paid the bills O.K.?), but my heart is, and will always be, with my purple and gold alma mater there on Harris and Southern.
Carry on Jackrabbits! Carry on!!

You mean you turned in your bunny tail for the better horns of the Toro! You know you liked it better, I know you just aren't allowed to say it. I found the secret code in your message that says Mountain View Rocks! I'll keep it a secret, wink wink!
I agree Monica...MHS is the BEST!!I love seeing old friends, and we have so many awesome memories. I was just talking to my neighbor Tyler Carter last week about when we took state in football and how only MHS students would think about sneaking into the dollar theatres on Main St. (Super Saver)..Carry on! Those were the best days!!Glad I finally got back on your blog to catch up with you! See you around town!!
Alli, Warren and I were just at Mesa Frozen Yogart tonight. That Mrs. Pacman has been there since I was in the 3rd grade! Good times!
Monica~I just loved this post. It actually brought tears to my eyes. I am not an AZ native and my heart will always be in South Dakota but I truely do miss the people I met through Taylor Jr. High and Mesa High. I would LOVE someday to see each and every one of you. No matter what, all of you helped shape the person I am today in some way!!
