When I was little my mom spent hours upon hours reading to us. We loved it. It is one of my most fond memories. She read us the entire Little House on the Prarie series, Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, stories from the "Friend", and many, many more. I remember her voice. I remember loving to be read to. Now that I am grown, I know how valuable those hours were. Those hours grew into a love of reading for most, if not all of her children. Those hours were a gift that changed my life and how I look at books today. Now that it is summer, I enjoy winding down the day, brushing teeth, finding jammies, and curling up into someone's bed to read aloud to my children. We are a quarter of the way through Little House on the Prarie. Somehow I still have the very copy that my mom read to me. The best part is that we aren't in a hurry because we don't have to get up early. There is nothing more wonderful than not being in a hurry. Thanks mom.

I loved being read to by my mom and grandma too. There is a special bond that comes from reading together-don't ya think? I love reading to my kids too. I also love not having to hurry up and read so we can get to bed. It's a wonderful thing!
O.K. now about my pizza recipe, I put it on my blog on March 16th. If you can't find it or if you want me to email it to you I'd be happy to do it.
Take Care,
JoLynn
My mom also read to us and I have such fond memories of it. Not doing such a great job this summer of reading to my kids yet... Maybe when my class is done.
I remember my mom and grandparents reading to me. Those are some of my favorite memories from childhood. It's also one of my favorite parts of being the mother now. I love to share my own favorite books and to bring stories to life for my boys, especially in the summer. So true, Monica; so true!
We are on the third one....I love a book both a boy and a girl can love!!! ...although Luke may not admit it...he liked it!!! I love staying up late and sleeping in....
