What Matters Most

Warren is always good about reminding me about the blessings that I have in my life. For example, this morning a good friend of mine called to tell me that she would make a special trip to bring over a cake pan that I needed to borrow. After I hung up Warren said, "Now she, is a good friend."

Our family is blessed to be surrounded by so many good people. I feel so blessed with such great extended family, a loving husband and children, and some really special friends. For our family, the best of friends have been found through service. I watched this earlier (http://www.youtube.com/mormonmessages), thought of you all (Yes, you!), and cried. Probably because we have needed you all so much lately, whether you knew it or not. I hope that I can be that same kind of person.

And so, thank you for your friendships, your phone calls, your carpools, your visits, your listening ears, your smiles, your encouraging notes in the mail, your willingness to take our kids, your willingness to let your kids come over here, your patience with our imperfections, your kind words, your advice, your laughter, your children, your examples, and for just sharing your lives with us. Thank you!! We love you!!
