Snow

Many people don't believe me that there are buckets of snow very close to where we live. After The Polar Express, we went to play in the snow up in Flagstaff, A.Z. This is less than 200 miles from our house. The weekend after this, it snowed 20 more inches. The kids loved it for about an hour. Then, it was time to go home to 60 degree whether. I was definetely not made for cold weather, but the kids had a blast!

The Polar Express 2011

We had to go to The Polar Express this year because of Dane's obsession. Knottsberry Farm. Summer 2011

Trip to Knottsberry Farm, Newport, and Huntington. Some of our favorite places to go. We also got to see pro. surfers practicing at Newport this year. The waves were huge! So cool.

There aren't many pictures of the older boys. They were on the really scary rides most of the time.

Easter 2011

This year Easter was extra special. We had a little Wilson family reunion at the cabin in Strawberry. Here is what we did...

Played our own version of Minute To Win It!
Celebrated Tyler's 6th birthday!
Took baths with cousins...well some of us anyway.

More games...

Visited the llama and goat farm.

Worked on art with Aunt Sarah, who is a talented artist in more ways than one. In this picture they are all in the "art zone".
Hunted for Easter eggs with crazy Uncle Blake.

Colored eggs.

Some of our faves...

We also enjoyed campfires, good food, antiquing, a wicked game of Kick the Can, and long walks. It was a good time. Can't wait to do it again!:0)

Spring Break 2011

This year we headed to SoCal for Spring Break. We decided to try Knott's Berry Farm. The trip was such a blast. There are rides at this park for everyone. We even got Tyler to go on some of the scary coasters, and can't wait to go back this summer!

We were lucky enough to do Newport beach and dinner with the Flemmings one afternoon. Our kids never get tired of the beach.

Our friends from Long Beach persuaded us to visit the Long Beach Aquarium. It was spectacular! I have never seen such a display of sea life. It put Sea World to shame. We will be coming back her for sure!

Feeding the exotic birds by hand...

This is all that Dane wanted to do.

We we ran into the Mowers family one day at Knott's. The kids really enjoyed hanging with them on the rides!

Camping 2010

Last weekend we went on one last impromtu camping vacation to Hon Dah Arizona. We were lucky enough to tag along with two of our very favorite families. We are cabin campers, not tent campers, so we were a little bit worried. However, the families we went with are experts, and were patient with us. It proved to be SO much fun! I hope to do it again next year.
We camped right next to the beautiful Black River.
We fished for (and ate) Brown Trout. Cody, Owen, and Warren even ate their eyeballs...eeeeeew!!
We went off road!

We went to Big Lake. This is such beautiful country. If you've never been to this part of Arizona, you MUST go. Warren compares it to Jackson Hole, Wyoming .

We went on walks in the beautiful summer rain.

Cody found a tire somewhere, and the dads made this swing. It was a sure favorite!!!

We sat around and looked really cute!

Warren taught Preston to drive...seriously!
Tyler was the best fisherman on the trip. This was funny because he was the only kid who could have cared less about catching a fish!
We also cooked in Dutch ovens (Thanks Joe!), ate 'smores, and saw deer, elk, wild turkeys, among other animals. We had a fabulous time!

Carlsbad Beach 2010

We met up with the Bonds one of the days on our vacation. We always enjoy hanging out with this family, and Kendra doesn't seem to mind tagging along with all of the boys. We really had a good time!

Throwing rocks.

Boogie Boarding

They spent hours finding sea shells and crabs.
Dane was a total poser at the beach.
