Wicked

Warren and I went to see Wicked last night. We met up with my mom, dad, and sister to eat dinner, and then met at Gammage for the play. It was amazing. Last year I read the book. It was just O.K., but a very thorough story of the two witches and why they are who they are. The play was humorous and the actors were so talented. A woman named Merideth Kaye Clark played Elphaba. Her voice was unbelievable. I love to read the backgrounds of these people in the playbill. I was interested to find out that most, if not all, of them had at least a B.F.A. degree. My favorite songs were, "Popular" and "For Good". It was a great night.

Oh I'm so glad that you got to see this! I hadn't cared all that much about seeing it until my little Brilynn's friend went and saw it last year. She non-stop talked about it. She then got the C.D. and she made a copy of it for Brilynn. Brilynn and I have never seen the play but we know all the songs and love them.

So with all of that, I had decided that for an early birthday present to Brilynn this year that I'd get tickets and that Brian and I would take her. Well as you know with all that has happened with the economy and the way it has effected Brian's work I felt like we probably shouldn't spend that much money right now. So I didn't get tickets and NOW I'm just sick because I just know that she'd have loved it. Oh well, hopefully next year it will come again and that would make a great 12th birthday gift for her. Don't ya think?

I'm glad you guys enjoyed it!

Love Ya,
JoLynn
